I'm having problems to run queries via DBeaver. For complex queries it's running forever and a really simple one takes several minutes (previously it would take like a few seconds).

This sounds more like a client side problem as the Vertica database that your Direct Access queries are running on is not showing any long running queries or performance issues.
Can you check that you have the auto-commit setting enabled on your dBeaver connection as shown in the attached images and perhaps try killing and restarting dBeaver.

Hi,
I have not changed settings. Anyway, it's OK now and queries are running fast. All I did was to kill & start again DBeaver.
